We partner with public, non-profit, and private groups to create and share new knowledge about how to make California's small- and mid-sized farms more profitable and resilient.
We:
- help farmers embrace new revenue flows, like participating in agritourism.
- do research and training to help farmers learn more about niche crops like elderberry and moringa so that they can grow to diversify their operations.
- provide resources to help farmers be better prepared for direct sales to consumers and retailers, and can help local agriculture advocates support the growth of local markets
- train farmers how to break into wholesale marketing.
