SA&FS Internship Assignments:
SA&FS Internships are part of an integrated curriculum designed to prepare you for your Senior Capstone and any future professional experience. For each of your internship experiences, you’ll be developing skills through a framework that includes an initial proposal, regular progress reports and a final evaluation. If you have other ideas for how you’d like to structure your written work, or your faculty sponsor has a preference for a different format, that’s okay too. The most important thing is that any assignments address the following learning outcomes:
Upon completion of the SA&FS Internship Requirement, students will be able to:
Develop a plan and attempt to implement it
2. Document activities and achievements (whether individual or collaborative)
3. Communicate effectively with those providing or expecting support in the internship
4. Reflect meaningfully on the experience, developing awareness of what's been learned and where there’s still room for growth
If you are proposing a substitution or adaptation to the standard assignments, you’ll need to explain how those changes will help you work on each of these outcomes. Also, please read the handouts on SA&FS Learning Outcomes and Expectations about Learning Outcomes in preparation for you internship.
