Educational and Training Programs

Listings of diverse academic programs and resources in: sustainable agriculture, agroecology, food studies, and related topics

INFAS is a national network of scholars with an overall purpose of science, outreach and education around critical trends and vulnerabilities in agroecology and food system sustainability. Graduate curricula focused in part, or entirely, on these topics, are increasingly available. Below are several useful resources that collate various programs, in the U.S. and abroad.  The sites listed are not maintained by INFAS.

 

  1. Sustainable Agriculture Education Association: Academic Programs List; This list includes primarily programs in North America which are separated by the categories: Land Grant Universities, Four Year State and Private Universities, Private Liberal Arts Colleges, and Community and Junior Colleges. Also listed are several programs outside of North America. 
  2. USDA National Agriculture Library: Educational and Training Opportunities in Sustainable Agriculture; This directory of U.S. Colleges and Universities includes information on programs, degrees, certificates, and links to Web sites and contacts.  Listings are separated by state.
  3. Association for the Study of Food and Society: Food Studies Programs List; This list includes programs in the U.S. and abroad and includes programs, degrees, certificates, and links to Web sites and contacts.
