This webinar is open to agricultural extension and technical assistance professionals, including staff in Cooperative Extension, Resource Conservation Districts, NRCS, and related research and technical assistance organizations.

A panel of experienced extension professionals and farmers will discuss creating meaningful co-learning partnerships in which producers and researchers work together to address sustainability challenges, try out creative ideas, and share information with other producers.

Drawing on examples from their work, they will discuss:

  • Benefits and drawbacks of participatory extension
  • What personal and professional qualities are needed to make these partnerships successful
  • What’s in it for the producers
  • Practical tips and suggestions for building successful partnerships
