Center for Land-based Learning

The Center for Land-based Learning engages youth in hands-on farm training. Their headquarters next to Putah Creek has 40 acres of farmland where visitors can view wildlife-friendly demonstration projects, a native plant nursery and propagation facilities.

Soil Born Farms

An urban agriculture and education project that empowers youth and adults to discover and participate in a local food system. The farm grows organic produce to be used locally, educates the community about food production, and encourages community connections.

Farm Fresh Choice

Farm Fresh Choice seeks to address inequities and disparities around food and nutrition in Berkeley low-income communities of color. Farm Fresh Choice engages youth leaders in our communities to educate and support shopping, cooking, and eating for better health. They operate produce stands in West and South Berkeley at after-school and summer school program sites.
